Director of golden therapy center
Katy Golbar, LMFT
Katy, our director, is a licensed marriage and family therapist. She has worked with adult rape survivors through the rape hotline and has assisted immigrant families in adjusting to their new environment through the Healthy Start program in the Los Angeles Unified School District. During her stint at the Life Skills Center of PathPoint™, she implemented programs in which chronically mentally ill patients had the opportunity to learn coping and social skills. These played a factor in helping them live a more independent existence.
One of life's biggest challenges is living a life you want. Katy, who has a gift for identifying what that life looks like, supports you in making the necessary changes you need to get there. She believes that her role as a psychotherapist is to provide you with awareness of patterns in your life that no longer work for you while being sensitive about your life and cultural experiences.
